How do I read chats and analytics for the widget?
Every conversation in the CMD+K widget is stored against the assistant and (if JWT auth is configured) the end-user. The dashboard exposes a chat browser to read full conversations and an analytics view with volume, deflection, tool usage, and unresolved-question reports. Data is retained for 90 days on paid plans, 30 days on the free trial.
Key metrics
- Volume — conversations per day, broken down by assistant.
- Deflection rate — % of chats that ended without escalating to a human (thumbs-up or successful tool call).
- Tool usage — which MCP tools the model called and their success/error rates.
- Unresolved questions — clustered topics the assistant repeatedly failed to answer — direct input for new knowledge sources.
Chat browser
Open CMD+K Layer → Chats to view every conversation. Filter by assistant, date range, end-user (when JWT is configured), or tool name. Click any chat to see the full transcript, retrieved knowledge chunks, and tool calls inline.
Exporting
Use the Export button on the Chats page to download CSV (one row per turn) or JSONL (one object per conversation, suitable for downstream analytics or fine-tuning datasets).
